Is this a new release, do they have a new album coming out

It's from The Holy Bible, their third album and the last released before Richie James disappeared. It came out in 1994, and is probably the most critically acclaimed Manics' album. 'Faster' was one of the singles, IIRC.
They're recording their new album at the moment. I'm sure they'll tour afterwards, but they wont come to Perth. Do you know why? Because they hate Perth. I mean, most bands hate Australia. Most only come here at the very end of their tours, if at all. And out of the handful who come here, most hate Perth. Seriously, whatever did we do to deserve this? I mean, its not like we're some AIDS ridden hell-hole like Africa where NO ONE tours. Australia is a fucking WESTERN nation. And Perth is a decent sized city.
Clearly its all a plot to irritate me.
Anyway, the Manics used to be young and idealistic. Now they sell ringtones on their website.

KIRK! You have all that cool stuff to say about the Manic Street Preachers but instead of putting it in the post itself you put it in the comments!!? For shame.
Edit your post and put that comment in it? The delete these comments perhaps.

Belter, you call yourself a Manics fan?
Shame on you, with your uninformed questions.
P.S. I really like the chorus that you wrote for Definitely Indefinitely.

...once again proving how tight knit this little TheAlt community is.
While the Manics last album was good, that B-sides thing they put out (Lipstick Traces...)was utter rubbish.

I wait without high hopes...
Other songs to check out from The Holy Bible are:
Of Walking Abortion
Archives Of Pain
Hell, just get the whole album. Very essential.
